Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - The following is a recap of events from the United States Olympic Committee.
Skiing: (Jan. 5)
In World Cup slalom, rookie Ted Ligety (Park City, Utah) led four American men into the points, finishing 15th while World Cup leader Bode Miller skied out in the first run. In addition to Ligety, Chip Knight (Stowe, Vt.) was 26th, Erik Schlopy (Park City, Utah) 28th and Tom Rothrock (Cashmere, Wash.) 29th.
